Ballerinas are no longer comfortable: this is how they will be worn in autumn

Ballerinas are one of the footwear that never goes out of style. Along with loafers, these shoes sneak into the looks of style prescribers every fall and spring. Some flat designs that guarantee absolute comfort and that have been changing in recent seasons, playing with materials and the height of the sole.

After betting on patent leather or satin or rubberized fabrics, now is the turn to experiment with the heel. This coming autumn, the ballerinas will stop being comfortable and will incorporate a considerable heel of considerable height that will make many think about whether or not to take them to the office.

Miu Miu has been one of the firms that has opted for this model with ballerinas that are reminiscent of the shoes worn by classical ballet dancers. The Italian firm sells this shoe for 810 euros, which is available in black and satin pale pink, with an instep with a bow, a removable elastic knit strap with the logo and an 8.5-centimeter heel.

These ballerinas, which many might consider eccentric, have conquered Rosalía, who has found the perfect footwear to complete her schoolgirl look. The Catalan, a big fan of Miu Miu designs, has worn these shoes from the autumn-winter 2022 collection on several occasions, which now have competition.

Jacquemus has also joined this trend of incorporating heels into footwear that is usually flat. This was recently seen at the Le Chouchou parade to present its autumn-winter 2023 collection. The brand led by Simon Porte Jacquemus did not leave anyone indifferent on the catwalk with some striking ballerinas.

The designer was committed to modifying the toe of the shoe, changing the round toe for a square one and adding a stiletto heel of several centimeters. This model, baptized as Les Chaussures Ballet, costs 670 euros and already has a waiting list on the web.

Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner were two of the models who walked in these shoes. The sister of the Kardashians with a minidress with a lot of volume and Bella's sister with a lingerie outfit and shoes combined with knee-high socks.

Emily Ratajkowski also dared to wear this design with a look that incorporated a tutu, another nod to the ballerina outfit that was finished off with a cropped top with a plunging neckline and tulle sleeves.
