All the dresses that have walked the red carpet of the Met Gala 2023

The Metropolitan Museum of New York has once again rolled out its red carpet, this time dyed white, blue and red, to host the popular and glamorous Met Gala. The 2023 edition focuses on the figure of the famous German couturier Karl Lagerfeld, with an exhibition that brings together 150 pieces and sketches made by the so-called Kaiser of fashion, and luxury designs on the red carpet that seek to pay homage to the German designer.

As expected, Chanel, Fendi or even Chloé - luxury houses where Lagerfeld works - have had a leading role in the famous prelude to the Met Gala. In fact, it was actor Harvey Guillén's Chanel tweed suit, with large pink rosettes, that opened the star parade down the steps of the New York museum.

Pink and black have dyed the evening as the main tones of rococo dresses, full of details and contrasts. Like the velvet dress, with black tulle sleeves and 3D roses on the body of actress Chloe Fineman. Her nod to the dressmaker has gone further and she has completed her look with a cat-shaped bag in honor of Choupette, who, by the way, is also invited to the event.

This red carpet in the form of a haute couture catwalk has been a continuous display of elegance, with garments that sought to give off romantic airs but with punk touches and other dichotomies that characterized Lagerfeld's art.

One of the highlights of the red carpet has come with the entrance on the scene of Anna Wintour. Armed with actor Bill Nighy, the hostess of the night has made clear with her styling the dress code for the night: nude tones, glitter and a lot of distinction.

The Spanish accent was given on this occasion by the actress Penélope Cruz. The Spanish interpreter has asserted her title as one of the host stars of the night dressed in a spectacular white design.

Like a bride with Bollywood airs, Cruz has dazzled with a princess-cut dress, with silver sequins, a belt and her head covered with a hood as a veil.

Dua Lipa has surprised with a design of Renaissance airs, with a tight corseted body and puffed skirt. Of course, all covered in tweed in honor of the honoree.
