A relative of Juan Ortega speaks for the first time since the sit-in at the altar to Carmen Otte: "He is out of the way"

The drastic decision that the bullfighter Juan Ortega made this past weekend has not left anyone indifferent. The Sevillian right-hander had planned to marry the cardiologist Carmen Otte, in a grand ceremony in Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz) to which more than 500 people were invited.

All of them saw their plans cut short when, just half an hour before saying 'I do', Ortega decided not to go to the altar, completely leaving both his girlfriend and the large number of guests at the party completely stranded. Since this happened, different information has been released about the reasons that led the bullfighter to cancel his wedding at the last minute.

Until now, Juan Ortega's entourage had barely commented on what happened and was limited only to stating that his decision was due to "personal circumstances", without giving more details. Likewise, the right-hander has decided to shield his social networks and has taken refuge in the family home in Seville, which he shares with Carmen Otte herself.

This Tuesday, the program Así es la vida, on Telecinco, has exclusively obtained the first testimony from a relative of the bullfighter after the incident last weekend. This is a man who, without revealing his identity or the relationship between him and Ortega, has related what he knows about his whereabouts and the reasons why he decided not to marry.

"Juan is out of the way, he went to his friends' farm," the man begins, denying the information that suggested that he had moved to his home in Seville. "Everything went super well last night, from what they told me," he continued.

The family member confirms to the program hosted by Sandra Barneda that they have not yet been able to speak with Juan Ortega, so they are unaware of his current situation, several days after the sit-in at the altar. "What I think is that he will have gotten out of the way, a little so that they let him breathe and be able to think," her story concluded.
