A former contestant advises the new 'triumphs' for the future: "Don't go to 'El Hormiguero'"

When Dave left the Operación Triunfo Academy, everyone missed him, because he was the funniest contestant in his edition. The year was 2018, and a lot of time has passed since then, in which the singer has realized the reality of being an artist after going through the famous format.

Dave became the last visitor of OT2023, on Prime Video, and wanted to tell the applicants in a very direct way what reality will be like when the format ends, since not everyone is lucky enough to become Aitana Ocaña. What's more, Dave himself took advantage of his time at the Academy to announce his retirement from music and give some advice on what not to do when they go out into the outside world.

“It doesn't last forever. Everything that goes up comes down and when it goes down, it goes down well and you are not prepared,” Dave began by saying in a speech that is already viral on social networks. “This is the high point. Then there is luck that 1% of us achieve it, which is to climb, but this is something that is very difficult to overcome,” he explained.

The artist announced without prior notice his retirement from the world of music and art. “I have to leave him because I feel like I'm falling out of love and in a vocational profession like this, enthusiasm is very necessary,” he explained, making it clear that no one had kicked him out.

“I have to pay for my house and my things. I decide to leave, not to be kicked out, not to agonize. Leaving at a time when the race could go up or down. “I'm going to say goodbye, I don't know for how long,” she announced, also sharing that she will offer three last concerts.

Of course, before his departure, he gave advice to the contestants: “The only thing I'm going to tell you not to do when you leave. "Drink, fuck, everything with method as Lola Flores said," he insisted, adding that they should take advantage of "the fame you will have at the beginning." Enjoy everything very much, but don't go to 'El Hormiguero'.”

A piece of advice that sparked laughter from the contestants, who accepted the advice of the artist, who has more than 20 years of career behind him.

His words were also very well received on social networks, especially valuing that lesson in "reality" in a week in which applicants have received all kinds of warnings from teachers to take advantage of the opportunity they have been given.
