The purchase of second-hand cars in Spain is skyrocketing. This is confirmed by the latest 'coches.net' survey that took place at the VI Official Distribution Second-Hand Vehicle Observatory on car buying habits in 2022. This study concludes that the interest in vehicles that have more than five years has increased by 13%. In contrast, this same study states that the purchase of new vehicles in 2022 fell by 15%. This context, together with inflation and economic uncertainty, cause the second-hand car market to have increased its demand. If we stick to the figures, last June second-hand cars were 17.2% more expensive than the counterpart month of 2021, with an average price of 19,719 euros. But what should we look for when buying a second-hand car?
