Those over 65 years of age who will be able to file their income tax return by videoconference

Starting this week, people over 65 years of age with tax domicile in some small municipalities in the country will be able to request the option of carrying out the income tax return process by videoconference and with the help of a Treasury agent. This initiative is added to the alternative offered by the Tax Agency of being able to formalize this procedure with telephone assistance.

To request assistance from the Tax Agency through videoconference, it will be necessary to make an appointment through Renta WEB, the Tax Agency app or by phone, with a deadline of June 28.

Up to 500 municipalities throughout Spain have joined this Treasury program, which will debut for the first time in the current income campaign. You can consult the list of municipalities in which assistance via videoconference is possible to submit the declaration here.

The objective of this new initiative is to provide support to taxpayers over 65 years of age from municipalities with less than 3,000 inhabitants where there is currently no in-person service because there is no nearby office of the Tax Agency, the autonomous community or the town councils. .

Thus, these users from the locations that appear on the list will be able to go to the location, provided by the Tax Agency, to receive assistance from a Treasury employee by videoconference "as if it were in-person help in offices," he stated in the presentation. of the campaign the president of the Tax Agency, Soledad Fernández Doctor.

The purpose of this entire chain of initiatives is to minimize the number of erroneous or incomplete income tax return forms by taxpayers who encounter difficulties when carrying out this process.
