Majadahonda will celebrate this Sunday 'Bike Day' and the XIX Ángel Rodríguez Julián Cyclist Memorial, so normal road circulation will be affected with different street closures through which both events will take place.
According to the Madrid City Council, the cycling event will start at 9:30 a.m. on Moreras Street (Atlético de Madrid Soccer fields), and from there it will go to Moreras Street and Príncipe de Asturias Avenue until the roundabout intersection with Norias street. The traffic cut will take place at 9:00 a.m. affecting both directions of traffic.
Regarding Bicycle Day, the start of the route will take place on Santa Bárbara Street, towards España Avenue, at approximately 11:30 a.m., which will require the cutoff at the points and intersections of the route at 10:30 a.m. . At the entrance to Majadahonda from the Villanueva del Pardillo highway, the circulation of vehicles from the intersection with Guadarrama Avenue towards Las Rozas will be affected.
For its part, the entrance from the Las Rozas highway to Majadahonda and España Avenue towards Pozuelo will also be affected in its entirety until its extension with the Pozuelo highway. Likewise, there will be a traffic cut from the intersection of the Doctor Calero roundabout, España Avenue and El Plantío highway, to the Renfe station towards Madrid.
Finally, traffic will be prevented from the Renfe Station Roundabout, on Príncipe de Asturias Avenue, Juan Carlos I Avenue, the España Avenue and Pozuelo Highway roundabout, in the direction of traffic towards the aforementioned Pozuelo Highway and the España Avenue, Santa Bárbara Street and Parque de Colón.
The municipal street closures in the different programmed activities will also affect the bus lines that circulate and provide service in different points of the Majadahonda term, being specifically affected the 655, the 626, the 651, the 561, the 567, the 650, the 652, the 653, the 654, the 620, the 633 and the 685.
