As is the case with sectors such as automobiles or bicycles, the appearance of electric alternatives is also in full swing in the field of motorcycles. Due to the crowded competition, manufacturers are looking for increasingly varied and versatile formulas to attract users who are looking for different proposals.
One of the latest innovations in the field of versatile electric motorcycles is the so-called Terra Prime, an alternative that comes from the firm Terra Bikes, founded just three years ago. To begin with, it must be taken into account that it is a motorcycle made by hand, so it is about unique vehicles that come out of conventional industrial processes.
With a "scrambler" type design, the Prime has a chassis made of chromed steel tubes and the area where the engine would be housed in a combustion motorcycle is dedicated to housing the battery pack. As standard, each unit is equipped with a 42 Ah battery, but there is a higher version that increases the battery capacity up to 65 Ah.
With the basic battery, the brand ensures that the vehicle offers a range of around 100 kilometers. In the lower part of the frame, just behind the footrests, is the electric motor, which offers a power of 3 kW and allows the electric motorcycle to reach a maximum speed of 85 km/h.
The Terra Prime offers three different driving modes to adapt its behavior to each circumstance and, likewise, to the preferences of each driver. Another essential aspect to take into account about this electric motorcycle is its suspension. It integrates an 8-inch front fork, while at the rear it offers a 6-inch shock absorber.
The objective of said suspension is none other than to provide a high level of general comfort and absorb irregularities in the road in the most optimal way possible. And it is that, in addition to being able to move in an agile way around the city, this proposal has remarkable qualities to leave the asphalt and roll on different types of terrain.
It should not be overlooked that the vehicle has, among its equipment, an LCD screen to consult different parameters and follow the statistics of the routes. In addition, the Terra Prime allows you to recharge small devices such as smartphones on the go thanks to the presence of various USB connections.
We must also take into account the commitment to the design of this model, with details such as the shape of the chassis, the long leather seat or the aesthetics of the headlight, which reinforces the "scrambler" image of the motorcycle. This electrical proposal costs around 11,000 euros.
