The extraordinary luxury submarine to enjoy legendary trips

A few months ago, we talked about the amazing boat that the U-Boat Work team was creating, a luxurious yacht that is a submarine at the same time, and that recreates and improves the Nautilus from the book 'Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea' written by Jules Verne.

With 37.5 meters in length and 1,250 tons in weight, this superyacht can sail 3,700 continuous nautical miles, that is, almost 7,000 km of distance. And if you wish, you can submerge up to 200 meters and even move like this for up to six hours continuously to contemplate the richness of the seabed.

Recently, the details of the exclusive interiors that the passengers of this avant-garde Nautilus will be able to enjoy, which incorporates the latest in nautical technology, have been revealed. In its interior space, with large porthole-type windows with a diameter of four meters each, there is a main room, four additional cabins and plenty of space to accommodate a crew of six people.

Apart from the rooms, which are decorated with exquisite taste, the ship has an observation room, a huge and cozy central salon and two more lounges on the main and forward decks. There is also space for exercising and getting in shape, with a fully equipped gym.

The exterior of the superyacht boasts exactly the same elegant atmosphere as its interior. It has a large terrace with a bar and jacuzzi, a succulent freshwater pool and a dining room with a large table from which to gaze at the horizon. Some of the aforementioned elements are retracted to convert the boat into a submarine when required.

As for the technical specifications, the Nautilus can navigate the surface at a cruising speed of 16 km/h thanks to its mixed diesel and electric motor. In underwater mode, it can go down to 200 meters, although the manufacturer recommends staying at 150 meters to optimize the performance of the structure.

While it is submerged, it moves at a speed of 8 km/h. Despite the fact that its endurance time when moving underwater is limited to six hours, as we have mentioned, when it is stopped, the submarine can remain on the seabed for up to four days.

While submerged, visitors will not only be able to enjoy underwater life through the huge windows, but will also be able to get out and explore the surroundings thanks to a purpose-designed dinghy called the Aronnax (another homage to Verne). Of this, it is known that it will have the capacity to transport up to five people.

The Nautilus will only be produced on demand, and each client will be able to customize it to their liking. The price that it will have is still unknown, but the brand assures that in 30 months it can have it ready. In the accompanying video, you can see another of U-Boat Work's submersible gadgets created to explore aquatic wonders.
