The ERE of Lleida.net is reduced to 17 people

Lleida.net, a Catalan technology firm specialized in digital certification, has closed the negotiations for the ERE proposed for the workforce with the departure of 17 people, below the 29 initially planned.

The final figure represents about 11% of a workforce of 160 workers. Between the adjustments made in personnel and operating expenses in the parent company and its subsidiaries, the company will save 1.38 million euros, with decisions such as increasing process automation and product standardization.

With the reduction, which will become effective on December 21, the company hopes to redirect its finances, which have accumulated losses of 1.7 million euros until October. The firm has seen its sales income decline by 20%, to 12.5 million euros. In the third quarter the drop was even greater: 27% in sales, with a negative EBITDA of 151,000 euros.

In addition to cutting staff, it will also focus geographically on Europe, and on its four large non-EU markets: Arab Emirates, Peru, Colombia and the Dominican Republic, which will mean the closure of subsidiaries in the United Kingdom, Costa Rica and South Africa, while those in Dubai and the United States will become virtual offices. It will also sift through its customer base to stop working with the least profitable ones.
