The Challenge Mallorca will hold a women's event for the first time

The thirty-third edition of the Garden Hotels-Luxcom Challenge Mallorca will premiere this Saturday with the dispute of the first women's event in the history of the Mallorcan round, which foresees the celebration of three trophies.

Starting on Wednesday, January 24, the Challenge will continue with the five trophies that the men's event will compete for, as announced by the organizers at the presentation of the event held this Thursday at the headquarters of the Balearic Government in an event chaired by Marga Prohens, president of the Balearic Islands.

The women's peloton will contest the Felanitx-Colonia de Sant Jordi trophies; Palma and Binissalem-Andratx.

The tests for the men's teams will be held in Calvià (Wednesday, January 24); Ses Salines-Felanitx; Serra de Tramuntana-Selva-Lluc; Pollença-Port d'Andratx and Palma.

Some of the teams registered in the women's round are: Movistar Team, AG Insurance Soudal Team, Uno X Mobility, UAE Team ADQ, Ceratizit WNT Pro Cycling, Education First-Cannondale, Laboral Kutxa-Fundación Euskadi or Arkea B

In the men's race, with the debut in Mallorca of the new UCI Continental Illes Balears Arabay team, the Spanish Caja Rural-seguros RGE, Euskaltel Euskadi, Burgos BH, Kern Pharma and Movistar are registered.

Cofidis, UAE, Education First Easypost, Bora Hansgrohe, Wanty Intermarket, Soudal Quick-Step, Lidl Trek, Arkea B will also compete
