The town of Rivas will host on Friday of next week, the 15th, the start of the III 'Non Stop Rivas-Murcia' mountain bike race, which challenges participants to complete the 664 kilometer route in 45 hours that separates the cities of Rivas Vaciamadrid and Murcia.

The competition, which will start at 11:00 a.m. from the Miguel Ríos auditorium fairgrounds, is a sports endurance test with mountain bike in which you can participate individually or in teams, in the relay mode, indicates the Consistory in a note.

The cyclists must arrive in Murcia on Sunday, September 17, after completing the 664 kilometers divided into eight stages, with a maximum time of 45 hours.

In the 2022 edition there were more than 450 participants, of which fifty were from Rivas.

This year, athletes from the four local clubs that carry out their cycling activity in Rivas join the test, such as the Rivas Cycling Club, El Altillo Cycling Club, MTB Rivas and the Diablillos de Rivas Triathlon Club.

There will also be representation from the City Council itself, with municipal personnel who will try to reach Murcia with a team of four cyclists, employees of the Department of Sports.
