New Pilote Atlas, the most adventurous camper to go to the end of the world without giving up comfort

The dreams of a few adventurers, increasingly connected and accessible thanks to social networks, have created an unstoppable trend that is reflected in the launches of the main manufacturers of motorhomes and campers. The Overland or 4x4 are the greatest exponent, but models such as the Ford Transit Trail have allowed the aspirational concept to land in versions such as the Pilote Atlas.

The Düsseldorf Show was the place chosen by Pilote, a well-known brand in the caravanning sector, to present its more informal proposal. At that time it was a very realistic prototype, which will become a reality throughout 2023. It will join other adventurous proposals such as the Hymer Grand Canyon S CrossOver or the irreverent Venture S.

The oval firm is in charge of structuring this future odyssey, off-road sections, inhospitable places and incredible landscapes on the platform of the Transit L3H3. It is the largest box, 6 meters long and 2.65 meters high, so you should not give up excellent habitability and the possibility of adding any comfort equipment.

The name is not taken at random and represents the goals of many globetrotters. Thanks to its all-wheel drive system, installed together with a limited-slip differential, you will conquer the most iconic summits of the globe. In addition, you will do it with a unique and striking style, with 16-inch black alloy wheels, all-terrain tires and nods to 4x4 such as the black lower protectors.

Once there you will enjoy the pleasures and customs of everyday life. In the first images filtered by Pilote we see a raised double bed in the rear area, which you can access through some stairs. This grants a greater habitability in the apartment, which will have a complete bathroom, shower and kitchen to try the typical dishes of each territory.

You also gain a remarkable space under said bed, ideal for storing heavy objects or material for your outdoor sports but with order. How could it be otherwise, the Pilote Atlas adds an endless number of accessories and options that will make it more attractive and independent. We are talking, for example, about solar panels on the roof, a rear bicycle rack or a diesel heater.

Its design, however, is committed to minimalism and practicality as an asset when it comes to facing any challenge. The white color of the cabinets, together with the wood and the dark touches of the upholstery, evoke the style that we could find in any current apartment. The fridge, placed in a corner of the kitchen unit, makes it possible to make the most of the space in the cabin to cook on the two stoves and the sink.
