The Malaga District of Campanillas will host this Saturday, September 9, the 'I District 9 MTB Challenge' with a route of 38.7 kilometers.
This new sports event is organized by the Castaltura cycling club and the Peña Puerta Pepón, together with the Campanillas District Municipal Board and has the collaboration of the Sports, Security and Mobility Area, the City Council has reported.
The 'I District 9 MTB Challenge' will begin at 10:00 a.m. on the esplanade in front of the Municipal District Board, at number 188 José Calderón Street, on the corner of José Fernando Carvajal Street, where the finish line will also be located , podium area and parking. Likewise, the showers at the Campanillas football field have been enabled for participants.
Registrations can be made on the Andalusian Cycling Federation website with a limit of 300 participants. The form can be submitted until 3:00 p.m. this Thursday at I-Desafio-MTB. The first 200 registrations, which have already been exceeded, have obtained a jersey and the last 100 will obtain a commemorative t-shirt. The registration fee is 15 euros for federated cyclists and 25 euros for non-federated cyclists.
The first edition of this race will have the following categories, both in women's and men's categories: Under-23; Master 60; Master 50; Master 40; Master 30; Junior; Elite and Cadet. In addition, it will have a category for unisex cycle tourists. The first three positions in each category will receive a trophy and all participants will receive a medal.
