The director of CaixaBank's legal department, Ignacio "Nacho" Redondo, died in a motorcycle accident that occurred late Saturday afternoon on the Balearic island of Formentera.
CaixaBank sources have confirmed to EFE the information provided by the digital newspaper El Confidencial on the death of Redondo, 47 years old and director of the entity's legal department since 2010.
"From the entity -said the aforementioned sources- we greatly regret his loss. He was a very loved person at Caixabank, as well as a highly admired professional and an example of dedication and service. We join the pain of his family and friends".
Redondo was driving the motorcycle with which he suffered the accident at the entrance to Sa Sequí when he collided with a van on his way to La Savina, as reported by the Consell de Formetera.
A State lawyer, Redondo was also an associate professor of Administrative Law at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona between 2008 and 2011, and participated in the ESADE business program.
