Ventilation is key to avoid the condensation and humidity we are talking about, which is why it is advisable to visit the motorhome from time to time and open windows and skylights. If possible, leave the vehicle indoors, and if it is not, with a cover that covers the body to prevent the sedimentation of dust, dirt and remains that occur in camping areas.
Against the cold, the same steps are followed as with a car, paying special attention to the batteries. It is best to leave them fully charged and, if possible, plugged into a socket. If not, take advantage of the ventilation visit to start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes. This wait will serve to verify that everything is fine in the gas pipes, the electrical system and the water pipes.
If we have complied with the golden rules of maintenance in winter, the motorhome will be ready to be used at Easter. It does not hurt to review elements such as the joints, the assembly of the awning or the correct operation of the electrical appliances, thus avoiding an unnecessary delay due to a last-minute breakdown.
