Aston Martin creates the most advanced and exclusive bicycle: it is the two-wheeled “hypercar”

It is common for leading brands in different sectors to carry out specific collaborations to create products that bring together the best of both and end up being a benchmark in the market. Such is the case that concerns us here: the J.Laverack Aston Martin .1R titanium bicycle, an exclusive frame born from two prestigious firms in both industries, the automotive and cycling industries. According to its creators, it is “the most exclusive, advanced and perfected bicycle ever created, and features a series of world firsts.”

The frame, tailored to each user, is made with parametrically designed 3D printed titanium joints and sculpted carbon fiber tubes. Thus, not only is aesthetic purity achieved without screws, but great lightness and comfort is guaranteed. The integrated four-piston brake calipers – instead of the usual two – required the development of a bespoke test rig. As a result, there is not a single cable or hose visible on the entire bike.

Oliver Laverack, co-founder of J.Laverack Bicycles, said: "Working with the Aston Martin team has led to new ideas and innovations, the application of which has created a bicycle more advanced than any other currently available on the market. Not only have we "We've taken our titanium bikes to new heights, but we've also unlocked true innovation within the cycling industry, creating a bike with unprecedented levels of craftsmanship and performance engineering."

The .1R incorporates solutions outside the usual field of bicycles. Developed in collaboration with the most innovative designers in the world of high-performance automobiles, for Marek Reichman, Executive Vice President of the automotive firm, this model would essentially be a two-wheeled titanium hypercar. Plus, it's handmade in the UK.

Each owner will be invited to Aston Martin's HQ in Gaydon, England, where a tune-up will take place with the founders of J.Laverack, offering unlimited opportunities to personalize their .1R. Customers will be able to choose exactly the same color palette and upholstery as the Aston Martin models, giving them the opportunity to combine car and bike, if they wish.

Likewise, it can be customized in the online configurator. In addition to the saddle, this digital tool allows you to individually specify the color of the tubes, grips, forks, stem, seat post and handlebars.

The bike can mount any of the three 12-speed groupsets used by professionals in the UCI World Tour: the Shimano Dura-Ace Di2, the Campagnolo Super Record Wireless or the SRAM RED eTap AXS. The .1R's custom chainrings are machined from aluminum and can be customized in specific sizes upon request.

The 28-spoke carbon wheels are also exclusive to the .1R and feature a special version of Continental GP5000S TR tires. For its part, the C13 saddle from the British company Brooks has been specifically ordered for this model and can be upholstered in leather or Alcantara; Additionally, it is finished with a single titanium rivet.

The bike is also supplied with its own case, made of aluminum or carbon, with an inflation pump matching the chosen finishes. No customization detail is missed in this exclusive frame.
