Artificial Intelligence also transforms textiles

On October 18, the TecnoCampus will host a major event focused on the textile sector, the TEX day

In this edition, taking advantage of the name change of the event, which is now called TEX

Reimagine Textil has in its portfolio a high-performance program promoted by TecnoCampus with the aim of promoting the creation of new emerging companies and start-ups in the textile sector. The program seeks innovative proposals that are based on new materials, technological solutions and have a sustainability component. It was created in response to the European Commission's policies to boost competitiveness in different regions, in this case, focusing on the Maresme textile industry, which has been an important part of the Catalan economy since the 19th century.

This program offers resources to selected projects to help them define their business model, develop their competitive advantage in innovation, establish a sustainable and circular strategy, and access both public and private financing.

The TEX day

After the conference, from 16:45 to 17:30, a Business Case will be presented, specifically RAONA will present "Neural Fashion AI", where it will explore how AI is revolutionizing the world of fashion.

After these presentations, the Reimagine Textile 2023 awards ceremony will take place, where outstanding innovations in the textile industry will be recognized and rewarded.

The event will end with networking and a Technology Showroom.

To attend the event it is necessary to register at this link.

The call for this third edition opened in March and some 34 projects have been presented. Entrepreneurship experts from TecnoCampus, specialists in new materials from Eurecat and independent consultants with experience in the fashion industry have been in charge of selecting the 15 finalists, and now a jury must decide which are the winning projects.

Finalists for the 2023 Reimagine Textile Awards in the sustainability category include My Little Closet, Rubylab Circular Textiles, Infinite Athletic, Coera Brand and 4 Draps. In digital business model, the finalists are Hand Poem, My Little Closet, Flashion, DCC Platform and Decosta Design

The case of Flashion is illustrative of the current application of artificial intelligence in the sector. The company has validated its proposal during the summer through Instagram, experiencing an increase of more than 100,000 new followers. This project uses artificial intelligence in a creative way to generate attractive content on social networks.
