The leader of Sumar, Yolanda Díaz, has assured this morning that the referendum in Catalonia "is not on the table" in her party and has opted for "dialogue". The vice president of the Government has thus settled the controversy that arose after assuring the commons that the referendum would form part of her electoral program.
In this sense, the Minister of Labor has asked if the relationship between Spain and Catalonia would improve with Vox and the PP in government. "I think not," Díaz answered.
The relationship between the leader of Sumar, Yolanda Díaz, and the former president of Podemos, Pablo Iglesias, has been straining since the vice president of the Government launched her political project. This has been recognized by Díaz in an interview on The Ana Rosa Program, where she has assured that she was "very upset" when Iglesias said that he had "hit her." "We had a sour conversation, I don't like being told how I have to do things," added the president of Sumar.
Yolanda Díaz did not want to comment on the absence of the Minister for Equality, Irene Montero, on the Sumar lists, and has stated that "there are many people who are there and many who are not, such as Irene Montero, Alberto Garzón or Jaume Asens".
