Will the IA sign in Sant Jordi?

From the four cardinal points, even in Sant Jordi, warnings about what artificial intelligence will do to us arrive. We have questioned our reader self about the possibility of a day of the Book with AI signing left and right, and the result tends rather to the second, not to the left, but rather creepy, at least for those who sign it.

To begin with, to sign a copy of a book you have to have written it before. There is no doubt that AI can do it, come on, it sure is already doing it. The question is what kind of books will he perpetrate. Since the AIs are not autonomous, at least for the moment, they will manage with the material that they are supplied: if you want a romantic novel, a few keywords and some guidelines on the protagonists and the plot: it ends well, it ends badly, the lovers are normosexual or they are not, a few physical descriptions and hey, let's fly, we don't say anything else that there are children anyway. Decisions about their sexual orientation and such will also be given based on the target they want to address, something that will also be decided based on the purchase figures of different population groups and the algorithms. Where are the humans in this? Nowhere, but let's keep going.

Since machines do not feel, at least for the moment, we leave aside the possible variations based on the experiences of the authors. Yes, there is little room left for creativity. Can anyone imagine an AI writing Ulysses? It sure shorted. Subject, verb, predicate and little else. Goodbye to any challenge to the reader (and to the writer).

But let's say that our artificial colleague has finished the book. What will she look like when she sits at the signing table? Who will decide the characteristics, man, woman, etc.? We assume that the algorithm will also choose it based on the type of reader. And what will you put in the dedication? They will nail it there, because with our name they will be able to enter a database and everything will come out: "For Pepita, who is married, she has two children and an outstanding traffic ticket."

I do not sign (for that future).
