We tested the Cosori Turbo Blaze air fryer: pros and cons of a large capacity model

Air fryers are the appliance of the moment because, since they went on sale a few years ago, they have become a best-seller. This success is thanks to the fact that they are very useful because, with very little oil, they achieve optimal results when cooking many foods. In addition, they offer much more controlled and faster cooking than if we used an oven or a frying pan.

The Cosori brand has positioned itself at the top of the sector. The quality of their air fryers, and how easy they are to use, have earned them great fame, and many sales. For this reason, at El Comprador de La Vanguardia we wanted to try one of their latest models to learn more about how it works and all the culinary possibilities it offers.

The Cosori Turbo Blazer is the model we have put to the test. A large-capacity model, because it has a 6-liter bucket, which allows you to cook 4 or 5 portions at a time. An ideal air fryer for families.

One of the great advantages of the Turbo Blaze is that it has 4 turbo programs that reduce cooking time with optimal results. In fact, the brand claims that they cook food 46% faster than usual preset programs.

After testing it for a month and seeing how it works, we will tell you the advantages it offers and the results it achieves by cooking various recipes.

The Cosori Turbo Blaze air fryer has a DC motor that makes it 46% faster. An airfryer that offers great versatility thanks to its 9 functions in 1.

From frying to dehydrating, it allows you to prepare a wide variety of dishes with ease. Plus, it comes with 96 chef recipes to inspire you in the kitchen.

Its dishwasher-safe design makes it easy to clean up after cooking your favorite meals.

This is a large capacity airfryer, however, it did not seem very large to us. The Turbo Blaze has a large 6-liter bucket, but it measures 30x30x34 centimeters, the same or less than other smaller capacity models. Therefore, we believe that an efficient design has been made because Cosori has achieved more capacity without having to expand the measurements of the appliance.

In terms of materials, this air fryer looks quality, mixing aluminum elements with resistant plastic. An appliance that, at first glance, seems to offer durability. In fact, it has a 3-year warranty.

We must also highlight its large touch display that, in addition to facilitating the use of all its functions, provides a touch of elegance.

The Turbo Blaze Air Fryer is powered by a DC motor that delivers up to 1750W of power that controls the speed of the fan, achieving superior cooking results. It has a temperature range of 30 to 230°C that ensures uniform heat distribution to brown food. For baking, reduce fan speed, maintaining proper moisture in cakes and breads. In addition, it is also used to make yogurt and dehydrate fruits, preserving nutrients.

A very easy model to use, thanks to its preset programs and turbo functions that cook much faster. You just have to turn it on, choose the ideal program according to the food or foods you want to cook and press the 'play' button. You can also manually regulate the time and speed of the fan.

A hassle-free air fryer so that everyone can discover the advantages of this trendy appliance.

Yes, it saves cooking and cleaning time. Food cooks faster than with another airfryer, thanks to its turbo programs, and much faster than if we cook it in the oven or in a pan. In fact, we believe that it is an ideal model to streamline day-to-day cooking.

We prepared some fries, some cod fritters, a sea bream and a chicken breast with garnish and it only took 30 minutes. Therefore, we find it ideal for preparing weekday dinner in no time.

It also saves time after cooking because we will only have to clean the bowl and accessory, if used. We forget to clean oil spills on the stove or oven, pans with food stuck to them, and other containers.

The only thing we haven't seen time savings in is when it comes to baking. We prepared a yogurt cake and, although the results were optimal and we did not have to worry about the time or whether it would burn (it turns off by itself when the program has finished), the cooking time was similar to the conventional oven.

Yes, and a lot. At the price that oil is going for right now, we either eliminate any dish that requires a lot of oil from our diet or we get an air fryer.

With the Cosori Turbo Blaze we prepare some French fries and only use a splash of oil. We must say that, with raw potatoes, the results did not convince us because they did not achieve a crispy texture, some potatoes were too toasted and others lacked cooking. However, with frozen potatoes the texture was crunchy and tasty.

We were surprised by the result of the breaded chicken. We made it with fresh chicken, breaded it with egg and breadcrumbs, and just a splash of oil. The result was crispy, golden chicken strips without needing to fill a pan with olive or sunflower oil.

After having tried it, we would recommend the Cosori Turbo Blaze air fryer for families who want to speed up their daily cooking. Being a large capacity model (6 liters) it is perfect for homes with 3, 4 or 5 people.

We would also recommend it to all people who want to follow a much healthier diet, without giving up tasty treats. Also, for all those who want to reduce spending on oil or those who do not want to waste time cleaning the kitchen stove.
