Wave of criticism of El Rubius for deactivating the inclusive language of the game Marvel's Spider-Man 2

The launch last week of Marvel's Spider-Man 2,  one of the most anticipated games for PlayStation 5, has been a success. The portrait of a hyper-realistic New York has captivated players around the world. La Vanguardia was able to exclusively interview Jacinda Chew, the game's art director and one of the great architects of this graphic gem.

However, not everyone is happy with some of the "innovations" that the game presents. El Rubius, one of the most popular content creators in Spain, does not like the language with which the action in the game is narrated by default.

The Rubius, upon encountering this conversation in the game, decided to pause and deactivate the audio of Danika's character. Then, he continued his game normally, but his facial expression gave a clear idea of his opinion on the use of this kind of language:

This reaction from El Rubius did not go unnoticed on social networks, where some users criticized him for his attitude. One of the comments on Twitter pointed out: "Rubius is a 30-year-old turkey who has no idea how to grow up, if you take him as an example I honestly feel sorry for him, and it is not inclusive language, it is the literal translation of English already." that the character they are talking about uses the pronouns they/them".

Another streamer who spoke out on the subject and who also sparked controversy is Vegetta777, who ironically called him "doctore" because she was French.

The controversy over the use of inclusive language in video games and other media has been a recurring topic today. The use of neutral pronouns and more inclusive language is seen by some as a way to respect diversity and promote inclusion, while others may perceive it as unnecessary or forced.

As for Marvel's Spider-Man 2, the game has received mostly positive reviews for its gameplay, story, and visuals. Despite the controversy surrounding inclusive language, the overall gaming experience has been well received by fans of the spider superhero.
