Vox announced this Thursday that it will preside over the Parliament of Aragon after reaching an agreement with the PP for the election of the Board of the autonomous Chamber in its constitution after the elections on May 28.
On the night of this Thursday, Vox announced an agreement for the election this Friday of the Board of the Parliament of Aragon for the XI Legislature, "the result and expression of a majority of change that has manifested itself in Aragon in the elections of the past 28 of May".
Vox recalled in its statement that, as the third political force in the region, "it had already expressed its willingness to be represented at the Table of the Cortes, out of respect for its voters." "This representation, in its greatest degree, supposes a pride and a responsibility" that the party assumes "with the institutional respect that the Courts of Aragon deserve, and with an attitude of service towards all the Aragonese and their pluralism of political options".
By virtue of that agreement, his deputy Marta Fernández will preside over the Cortes. However, Vox specified that the agreement "adheres" to the constitution of the Chamber and "there is no talk of investiture", so both parties "will continue without pause, but with discretion, to search for an agreement on those matters that allow drawing up a governance agreement".
"Now it's time to start the XI legislature, and this agreement makes it possible to start a majority of change in Aragon," concludes the Vox statement.
However, the PP, which had publicly offered Vox to occupy the First Secretariat of the Table, does not confirm this agreement.
Vox has made this announcement after calling a press conference for this Friday by the vice president of the formation, Jorge Buxadé, and the spokesperson for the formation in the Senate, María José Rodríguez de Millán, before the plenary session of the constitution of the Cortes of Aragon .
