VidaCaixa earns 523.6 million in the first semester, 35% more

VidaCaixa has closed the first semester with a profit of 523.6 million euros, 35% more than in the same period of 2022. The entity has assured this Tuesday in a press release that the growth is due to the good evolution of business portfolios and the bullish behavior of the markets.

Commercial activity has grown by 33.7%, reaching 7,368.4 million euros in premiums and contributions, driven by life annuities and guaranteed savings insurance.

Managed resources have risen to 119,943.4 million euros, growing by 4.7%. Of these, 69,970 million euros correspond to life insurance, 41,437 million to Basque pension plans and social welfare plans, 7,515 million to the Portuguese insurer Vida e Pensões and 1,023 million to the Balearic insurer Sa Nostra Vida.

In the first semester, VidaCaixa has paid 2,841 million euros in benefits in Spain and Portugal, 6% more than the previous year.

5,825 million euros have also been allocated to the premiums contributed to savings insurance, 47.5% more, of which 5,587 million have been for the individual segment.

Life annuities have accumulated more than 3,000 million euros in premiums up to June, while premiums in group savings insurance have achieved 238 million, 16% less than a year ago.

In the first six months of the year, contributions to individual pension plans have fallen by 13.2%, to 488.2 million euros, due to the legal reduction in the maximum limit. Contributions to employment plans and associates have fallen by 1.5%, up to 294.8 million.

On the other hand, life-risk insurance premiums have reached 760.2 million, 8.7% more, and the MyBox Vida insurance has reached 16.3 million in premiums and more than 750,000 customers.
