Måneskin fans have woken up protesting on social networks. Followers of the 2021 Eurovision winning Italian group have denounced censorship during the performance at the MTV VMAs. And it is that during a good part of the show the band could be heard but not seen on stage.
Many think that the reason is Damiano David's butt, because the look he wore last night exposed it. But that was not what motivated the opening of the plane. In fact, the vocalist swaggered all the time on stage and showed it shortly after on his social networks.
What caused the censorship was Victoria de Angelis. The bassist and composer also risked her clothing, consisting of a bodysuit that exposed one of her breasts, although it was covered with a heart-shaped nipple shield. A look that caused a sensation on the red carpet along with her partner.
The problem came during the show itself, when at one point the body fell off, exposing the other breast. Something that the spectators could not see, because realization then decided to open the shot.
"I guess it was the usual censorship of MTV", denounces more than one follower of the group in networks. And it is not the first time that the network has been criticized for being too politically correct and sensitive, going so far as to censor part of its programming and even the video clips it broadcasts.
An example of this is the video They don't care about us, by Michael Jackson, which was reissued by the chain and changed some of its words for being considered anti-Semitic. Madonna, for her part, also suffered censorship up to four times. One of them was with Justify my love, in whose video she simulates having sex.
