Veritas, an organic supermarket chain that had a turnover of 106 million in 2020, has won the Company Day - Companies of the Future Present 2022 award, granted by the Government after opening a participatory process to all citizens.

A total of 62 nominations have been shortlisted for the award, for which 10 finalists had been selected: Envases Plásticos del Ter; Freshly Cosmetics; Fruits de Ponent Cooperative Group; The Farga Yourcoppersolution; LC Paper 1881; Nomen Foods; Original Buff; Urgellenca Electric Production Company; Sorigué; and Veritas, the winner.

The President of the Generalitat, Pere Aragonès, called within the framework of this event, held for the first time and which took place at the Palau de Pedralbes, to bet on "talent, investment and innovation" to deal with current challenges such as inflation or the supply problems of some raw materials.

This recognition, according to Aragonès, "helps to create benchmarks" and shows the "great potential of Catalan companies", which, as he has defended, "are characterized by elements that make them especially competitive and resilient, such as their will to innovate and of internationalization".

In relation to the Next Generation funds, the head of the Catalan executive has pointed out: "We have a great opportunity and the will of the Government is that this opportunity does not remain only in large companies, which are very important and that their commitment to Catalonia is very relevant, but it must serve to get them hooked and drag others, which are small and medium-sized companies".

The Minister of Business and Work, Roger Torrent, has pointed out that the Government seeks with acts such as this Monday "to help break stereotypes and highlight the social return of business activity, claiming the collective value and the social value of Business".
