Two men disappeared in Aldea del Fresno (Madrid) after their car fell into the Alberche river

A man has died in the municipality of Casarrubio del Monte in Toledo, as announced by the president of the board in Castilla - La Mancha, Emiliano García Page. In addition, two men have been missing since early this morning, when a vehicle in which they were traveling fell into the Alberche River in the town of Aldea del Fresno, one of the most affected by the torrential rains in recent hours in the Community of Madrid. Apparently they are father and son who were traveling in their vehicle.

In Aldea del Fresno, the flooding of the riverbed has caused breaks in two bridges, specifically the accesses from the M507 and M510 highways.

The regional emergency teams are working especially in the search for these two people and the vehicle, so the efforts this morning in that area will focus on trying to locate them.

The 112 service of the Community of Madrid has managed a total of 1,491 files related to the storm from 2:00 p.m. on Sunday to 7:00 a.m. this Monday.

In the balance of interventions in those 17 hours, the 112 of the Community of Madrid has confirmed that these 1,491 have required interventions by firefighters 1,169.

The most affected area continues to be the one in the southwest of the region in the towns of Aldea del Fresno, Villamanta, Villamantilla, Villanueva de Perales, El Álamo and Navalcarnero, but in these early hours of Monday, notices are also being received from the Alcobendas area and San Sebastian de los Reyes.

The interventions of the firefighters are related to the rescue of people in flooded houses and in cars that have been trapped in rafts of water, the draining of basements and sewers and the removal of tree branches.
