Two people have been slightly injured by the fire in a room in a hospital in Amposta (Montsià), as reported by the Generalitat Fire Brigade. The security body received the notice around 10:10 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, so five teams were mobilized to the scene.
As a preventive measure, the emergency services proceeded to evacuate the 31 patients and 10 employees who were inside the building at the time.
The mattress and part of the bed in the room where the fire started were burned. Users and staff members were able to return to the center around 10:53 p.m. However, two people were injured by smoke inhalation, for which they were transferred to the Verge de la Cinta Hospital.
