This Monday, two hooded men tried to free a prisoner in Ibiza when he was leaving the dentist escorted by Civil Guard agents, the Peripheral Communication Office (OPC) of the Balearic Islands Command confirmed to EFE.
The first information suggests that the two men were also armed, although this has not been confirmed by the Armed Institute.
The prisoner had been transported in a van from the Ibiza prison for a visit to the dentist at a center located near Aragón Street in the capital of Ibiza, when the two men with their faces covered tried to free him.
The escape attempt occurred on the same street, at the time when the inmate was leaving the health center.
The agents have thwarted the escape, although they have not been able to arrest the accomplices, who are being sought and captured.
