The National Police and the Civil Guard have arrested two people, a 35-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man, as alleged perpetrators of a crime of robbery at a home in the Benijos neighborhood, La Orotava, which had been evicted. by the forest fire that devastates Tenerife.

The detainees are cousins ​​of the victims, detail sources from the Ministry of the Interior. According to reports, agents from both bodies who were carrying out citizen security and prevention work in that area in the early hours of the morning received a notice and went to the house in question.

The agents verified that the door of the house had been forced and, after accessing it, National Police agents surprised two people inside, searching it. They were able to intercept and detain the woman, while the man managed to flee.

At the time of the arrest, the woman was carrying various effects of the robbery such as clothing, two watches and some jewelry, which were recognized by the complainants as hers. After conducting a raid through La Orotava, they located the man in the Benijos neighborhood and proceeded to immediately arrest him.
