There is just over a month left for the municipal elections on May 28 and the Junts per Catalunya candidate for mayor of Barcelona, Xavier Trias, inaugurated this Monday the headquarters of his candidacy on Gran Via, next to Plaza Tetuán . An office that wants it to be open to all citizens, the old-fashioned way: to those who want to make contributions, proposals, complaints or simply find out about their project. "It is the authentic headquarters of the change," Trias assured the media before entering the interior along with several members of his candidacy.
Thus, Trias has invited "everyone who wants to know about the program" and its proposals to "transform" the city of Barcelona. "The doors are open to come," concluded the convergent former mayor.
Once inside, before a small banquet with militants and collaborators, Trias has asked all those involved in the campaign to be close to the public. "I ask you for dedication and sympathy, be kind and feel close to us. We do a public service to the citizens," said the candidate for his team.
He has also asked his people to be involved in obtaining an outstanding result on May 28 that makes it difficult to maneuver such as the one that deprived the Republican Ernest Maragall of the mayoralty in the elections four years ago after a pact between the commons of Ada Colau with the PSC and the formation of Manuel Valls.
Trias has been accompanied by councilors Jordi Martí and Joan Rodríguez, who appear at the top of his list. Also present at the inauguration of the office were former ministers Victòria Alsina, Damià Calvet and Ramon Tremosa, who are among the top ten, and other JxCat leaders have also been seen.
The site of Trias per Barcelona, of two plants, was an old gym that has been adapted as an electoral headquarters and the intention of Junts is to give it as headquarters for training in the Catalan capital in the future, aiming at the party's sources.
