To avoid losing money, it is recommended to take several aspects into account before making the payment for the reservation.
The Catalan police campaign warns about three basic elements to avoid being a victim of scammers. First of all, they ask that you be wary of payments outside of recognized platforms.
Secondly, the Mossos advise that before making the reservation it is necessary to investigate and read customer reviews and even ask questions to the host who rents the vacation space. Hotels and rental apartments are the preferred accommodations for Spaniards.
Finally, the last tip for a safe and peaceful getaway is to maintain clear communication and ask questions about any doubts that may arise about the destination. Any caution is insufficient when it comes to preventing the reservation from ending up being a bitter experience. In any case, it is advisable to save the advertising brochures or screenshots of the website where it was reserved to file complaints if necessary.
