The Oliva City Council (Valencia) has ordered a ban on bathing in Rabdells beach after detecting the presence of a blue shark (Prionace glauca), as reported by the council itself on its social networks.
The health authorities, the Civil Guard and the Local Police, in agreement with the Rescue and Lifeguard team, have decided to close the beach bathroom "until further notice".
From the consistory they have asked citizens and visitors to follow the instructions of the lifeguards and the signage, while they have indicated that they will keep the population informed "in the next few hours."
