Agents of the Special Mountain Rescue and Intervention Group (Greim) of the Civil Guard have rescued the body of a 32-year-old young man in Sierra Nevada, a German who disappeared in November last year.
As reported to EFE this Friday by sources from this armed group, a couple who descended last week from Mulhacén and strayed a little from their trajectory discovered the body and sounded the alarm.
The Greim agents moved to the area, a crack near the aforementioned peak of the Sierra Nevada, and were in charge of rescuing the body, which was attached to a block of ice. The same sources have specified that the corpse is that of a 32-year-old young man of German nationality whose mother reported his disappearance in November 2022.
The young man was last seen in the Alpujarra town of Bubión and, according to the first indications, he must have suffered a fall in the area after which he would have tried to take refuge in the crack from which he could no longer get out. The body was evacuated to the Institute of Legal Medicine to perform an autopsy before being transferred to his native country.
