Relations between Javier Tebas, president of LALIGA, and Jan Laporta, president of Barça, have been redirected in a very positive way to the point that both have shown cordiality in the presentation of LaLiga 2023-2024 that is being held in Madrid.
Laporta attended the gala accompanied by the football director, Mateu Alemany, and went up on stage to collect the trophy that corresponds to FC Barcelona as 2022-2023 League champion by Javier Tebas.
Minutes before, Tebas spoke like this about the president of Barça. “With Jan (Laporta) it is difficult not to be comfortable in close combat. Do you have fun. The club has to improve on things, but I've known him for many years and he's a nice person. In club matters they have to improve and they are doing it, we are happy, ”he said.
The president of the employers' association was “satisfied” with the fact that Barça “is clear about the duties it has to do. It is not an imposition of LALIGA, but a self-convincing of them. They are making a significant effort, which is very hard, but it is necessary. It is for the good of FC Barcelona and I feel happy, ”he explained.
Lastly, he referred to Laporta as a person who “is always optimistic and we are not going to lower him from there. It is always important that there is optimism in the clubs, ”he concluded.
Laporta replied to him, explaining that at an institutional and personal level they had resumed the relationship. "We are in a good moment of institutional and personal relations with the League and its president. We have resumed the good relationship. I think it should always be like this. We have to be in harmony", explained the Barça president.
