The Valencian PP affirms that Mónica Oltra resigned and maneuvered so that she received unemployment

In the Salvados program broadcast this Sunday on La Sexta, the former vice president of the Consell Mónica Oltra assured that she was receiving unemployment (just over 1,300 euros for having two children), and even commented that she was waiting to take a welding course.

These statements have not gone unnoticed by the Valencian PP in the mouth of its parliamentary spokesperson, María José Catalá, who has shown her surprise at the fact that the former leader of Compromís receives a subsidy after she resigned.

In fact, as Las Provincias has advanced, the non-assigned deputy Vicente Fernández (formerly of Ciudadanos) has filed a complaint in the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community a possible crime of embezzlement and prevarication for converting his resignation into dismissal for allegedly facilitate the collection of compensation.

In this sense, the PP trustee has emphasized Oltra's words about her resignation -in the report she defends that she did not tell President Ximo Puig before- and has compared what was published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana with the dismissals of Oltra and the former second vice president Rubén Martínez Dalmau. While in the first it does specify that it was "at his own request", in the second this tag does not appear. A significant change that, according to Catalá, allows him to collect unemployment.

All in all, Fernández's ex-colleagues in Ciudadanos have slipped that the complaint will not have much of a journey, while in Compromís they have pointed out that the formula used in the DOGV with Oltra is the usual one for senior officials and they have defended their right to collect unemployment . In the PSPV they understand that "they will have acted correctly".
