The two colors of the river Ter

Yesterday the River Ter flowed down with great flow and the water was cloudy, as we can see in the first two photographs taken in Roda de Ter for this report in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia.

With the last rains the river went down stirred with earth sediments. Sediment is a solid material accumulated on the earth's surface derived from the actions of phenomena and processes that act in the atmosphere, in this case, rain.

Today, on the other hand, the water is no longer cloudy and the river Ter still flows generously as it passes through Orís, further north in the Osona region.

With these rains, the river looks mightier, which the Sau reservoir will appreciate, which is now at 18.25% of its capacity (a year ago it was at 58.55%).

The Ter River originates in Ulldeter, in the Ripollès region and after a little more than 200 kilometers, flows into the Mediterranean Sea, downstream of Torroella de Montgrí.
