The three colors of the top of Montseny

Fog and mist accompany this autumn the ascent to the top of Montseny, the Turó de l'Home, from where we can observe the changing color of the sky, from the typical blue to reddish, passing through yellowish, as seen in these photographs in Photos from La Vanguardia Readers.

Turó de l'Home is the highest mountain of the Montseny massif, with a height of 1,712 meters, above the summits of Les Agudes and El Matagalls.

Montseny is one of the busiest and most popular natural parks, largely due to its proximity to the Barcelona area. It is located in the Catalan pre-coastal mountain range, between the regions of Osona, Vallès Oriental and La Selva.

The pronounced reliefs it presents and the rich ecological variety stand out. For this reason, in 1978 UNESCO declared it a biosphere reserve.

The Montseny natural park is the oldest in Catalonia and is also one of the most important. In a relatively small area, there are plant communities typical of the three great European biomes: the Mediterranean (holm oaks, cork oaks and Aleppo pine), the Euro-Siberian (Scots pine, beech and white fir) and the boreoalpine (alpine meadow).
