The third edition of Jump2Digital, the digital talent congress, arrives in Barcelona

The third edition of Jump2Digital begins, a Mobile World Capital event dedicated to digital talent and the new professions that are emerging as a result of digital transformation. This year, the congress moves to the Fira de Barcelona in Montjuïc, where the organization hopes to double attendance compared to last year and receive more than 5,000 people throughout the day on November 17.

The congress, with free entry, is aimed at “connecting” new digital professionals with companies in the digital world or other companies that want to incorporate digitalization. This was explained by the executive director of Mobile World Capital Barcelona, Francesc Fajula, who insisted that Jump2Digital is not only aimed at students and professionals who already have training in digital skills and who want to enter the world of work, but also calls to all those people who are not part of the sector, but who have “a certain vocation and concern for these issues.”

As for companies, the event not only seeks to bring together companies that are dedicated to digital development, but also aims to welcome any company that wants to go digital and that needs to look for new professionals in the digital world to design applications and web pages, analyze data, positioning the internet or any other objective linked to the digital world. Fajula explained that digitalization affects all companies, regardless of the sector, and that there is an increasing demand for profiles in the digital field.

As explained by the director of digital talent at Mobile World Capital Barcelona, Jordi Arrufí, the third edition of Jump2Digital 2023 will be framed within two major topics of current technology: artificial intelligence (AI) and the video game sector. Attendees will be able to attend specific workshops on these topics and will be able to listen to presentations where both the potential and the unknowns generated by these new technologies will be discussed.

This year, the congress will have an extensive line-up of the most powerful influencers and digital content creators of the moment, who every day inspire many people to become interested in the digital sector through their YouTube channels, Twitch and other social networks. Some of the speakers in this edition will be Nate Gentile, Cristinini, Miriam González, Luzu, Sara García, Schrödinger's cat and Carlos Santa Engracia who, along with many more, will give talks on programming, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, Big Data, Computer Science and many other topics related to technology.

Carlos Santa Engracia, co-founder of the YouTube channel 'Topes de Gama' (with more than three million followers), has stated that “there is no event like it in Spain” and that this event “is a fantastic opportunity for that young audience that "You want to develop, you want to find a vocation and you can enjoy a free day where the digital sector is the protagonist."

In addition to finding a space dedicated to trying new video games and experimenting interactively with new technological gadgets, such as immersive experiences based on AI and Virtual Reality, attendees will be able to receive academic and professional guidance from sector experts and will have the opportunity to network with personalities from the world of technology. Likewise, a Twitch area will be enabled where interviews with guest speakers and other live content can be seen.

The congress will also host workshops on various topics where attendees can learn how to incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) tools into routine work, design mobile applications from scratch, improve cybersecurity or learn how to transform an idea into a video game. The day will bring together stakeholders, important companies in the digital sector and training centers of the current technological ecosystem and more than 800 interviews will be carried out between companies and conference attendees in a business 'Speed Dating'.

A 'hackathon' will also take place, where more than 100 participants will compete in a programming challenge with the support of 200 mentors from companies in the technology sector. In addition, this 'hackathon' will help companies looking for digital profiles to identify new talents among the participants and sign them for their staff.

Interested people can find out about all the workshops and activities on the Jump2Digital website, where they can also register to attend the event, the different workshops, the 'Speed Dating' and the 'Hackaton'.
