The robin is a sociable and curious bird that usually comes out of the forest to see who comes to its territory, sometimes it stands in the middle of the path emitting its characteristic warning voice.
It is mainly insectivorous, but also feeds on spiders, worms, etc. It comes very close to humans, sometimes to look for food. Very often it can be seen among the bushes or on the ground while hunting for insects.
With a careful eye, I was able to photograph this beautiful and curious specimen up close for the Readers' Photos of La Vanguardia in Sant Pere Pescador, in the Alt Empordà region.
As seen in this snapshot, the robin is distinguished by its striking orange spot on its chest, throat and face.
When the cold arrives, such as in winter, it is very common in almost any environment, including parks and gardens. This little bird is territorial.
