The Catalan Traffic Service has reported that the other occupant of the motorcycle that had an accident on the night of Wednesday, May 25 when it collided with a truck at kilometer 750 of the N-II in Vilamalla (Alt Empordà) has died.
As a result of the accident, the 32-year-old driver of the motorcycle died and the other occupant, a 31-year-old woman, was seriously injured. The emergency services transferred the woman to the Trueta de Girona hospital, where she also ended up dying after a few hours.
As a result of the incident, eight Mossos d'Esquadra patrols, three fire brigades and two units of the Medical Emergency System (SEM) were activated.
Regarding the road affectation, the highway was completely cut off until one in the morning. With these two victims, there are now 61 people who have lost their lives in traffic accidents this year on the interurban road network in Catalonia.
