The sea of thin clouds of Llinars del Vallès

Today I would like to talk in La Vanguardia Readers' Photos about the thin clouds we have had in recent days in the Vallès Oriental.

Thin clouds visible over all or a large part of the Catalan coast and pre-coast. The sky was gray above the green fields of Llinars del Vallès, as can be seen in this series of photographs.

Now, you found a different situation if you climbed a mountain or a high viewpoint. In that case, you could see a sea of clouds on the coastal and pre-coastal plains, fleeing from the gray.

It has been a few days of fog and low clouds, not only in Vallès, but above all in inland regions such as Osona, Solsonès, Lluçanès or Ripollès.

Llinars del Vallès extends from the southern foothills of the Montseny massif to the Litoral mountain range. Rainfed agriculture predominates over irrigated land, located only on the banks of the Mogent stream. The forests are mainly Mediterranean (pines and holm oaks), although oak and cork oak forests are also abundant in the high mountain ranges.
