The Salt de la Coromina waterfall disappears

The Salt de la Coromina is suffering from drought, there is not a single drop of water, the great waterfall at the Falgars risk has disappeared, as can be seen in this photograph Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia.

The Coromina waterfall is one of the six waterfalls that exist in the Falgars abyss. But, they are dry, due to the persistent drought that has been plaguing Catalonia for months.

In this case, this waterfall is fed by the water of the Faja stream, which, upon reaching these cliffs, falls in a very spectacular way, especially when it has rained. But, that was before, when it rained. Now, there is practically no trace of the water left.

The Salt de la Coromina is located within the terminus of Falgars d'en Bas, in the region of Garrotxa, an extensive altiplano at 954 meters of altitude with numerous ravines.

In general, all the streams that come from the Sierra de Cabrera usually flow with little water flow, except on rainy days. In the Salt de la Coromina, where the waterfall can draw a large horsetail if there is abundant water. But, with the drought, nothing at all. We only see a ravine.
