The Romina Celeste case (I): New Year's Eve of blood

The young Romina Celeste came to Spain in 2010 from her native Paraguay to prosper and start a family, a project she had dreamed of since she was a teenager. She left the son she had already had at the age of 18 with her grandmother and began an intercontinental trip that ended in Alcobendas. But things didn't turn out the way she imagined. A relationship from which her second child was born also did not serve to fulfill her hopes. Soon, that courtship broke up.

It was after that separation, and beginning a period during which she began to flirt with prostitution, that she met an Endesa engineer with whom she believed she could finally found a home. They made plans to go live in Lanzarote and get married, and although these objectives were met, Raúl Díaz Chacón did not accept his children and that hindered the new marriage which, on the other hand, guaranteed the immigration papers that Romina so needed.

After several episodes of abuse, a threat of suicide and a string of disagreements, Romina disappeared on New Year's Eve 2018. The Civil Guard began an investigation that would end with the arrest of Raúl Díaz.
