The relief of the sun in Campdevànol

I have captured for La Vanguardia Readers' Photos these photographs of the sunset yesterday and the sunrise today in Campdevànol, in Ripollès.

In one of the snapshots we can see the sunset with the Freser River at dusk in the foreground. The Freser stands out for being the most important tributary of Pyrenean origin that flows into the Ter. The river rises between the Fresers peak and the Bastiments peak.

During industrialization in Catalonia, it was one of the first rivers that was exploited to take advantage of its power to generate electricity at the beginning of the 19th century.

With this, after the mining stage, the paper and textile industry developed strongly in the Ripollès, taking advantage of the flows of the Freser, the Rigard and the Segadell.

Another element that stands out in the images, especially those of dawn, is the Campdevànol church, which dates back to the 18th century, although it was rebuilt in 1945 due to the aftermath of the civil war and the 1944 earthquake.

Campdevànol stands out for its location under Mount Puigmal. The perspective of the fantastic 46-meter bell tower, today the icon of the municipality, stands out.
