The 'rave' of Cervià de Ter is dying down: there are only 50 people left

The rave of Cervià de Ter (Girona) is going down and first thing in the morning of this Easter Monday there were already around fifty people, according to what the Mossos d'Esquadra have reported. The agents received the first call warning of the illegal party at dawn on Friday and it is estimated that at the time of maximum influx up to 300 people could have gathered.

As reported by Diari de Girona, the stage has already been dismantled early in the morning and everything suggests that in the next few hours the remaining people will end up marching. Meanwhile, the Mossos d'Esquadra continue to block access and identify all drivers who leave the area. In addition, they perform drug and alcohol tests.

For its part, the owner of the land where the rave was held has already filed a complaint against the organizers for having occupied the space without permission. This has been confirmed by the mayoress of the municipality, Roser Estañol, who was able to locate him this Saturday to alert him to the illegal party that had been organized on the land next to the Ter river. The Cervià City Council and the rest of the consistories in the area intend to form a common front and file a second complaint together to prevent it from happening again. And it is that the 'raves' are common in the area.

The town councils of the area have agreed to meet next week and make a common front to report the case so that it does not happen again. At the moment, Cervià de Ter, Sant Jordi Desvalls and Bordils are in agreement, but they hope that the rest of the municipalities of the Ter basin, such as Sant Joan de Mollet or Flaçà, among others, will also join.

Since last Thursday, the residents of the area have been complaining about the nocturnal disturbances due to the music at full blast. The deputy mayor of Sant Jordi Desvalls, Marc Amat, explains that during the day the music is quieter and doesn't bother as much, but at night it's when it's louder and doesn't let the neighbors sleep. In addition, the stage was placed facing this town, which is one of the most affected by noise. "We don't know why you can't act, but we assume it's because it's private property." he regretted him.

And it is that, in fact, this type of festival "are common" in different agricultural plots located between these municipalities near Girona. For years these towns have spent sleepless nights, especially in summer, because of the music that can be heard from all the surrounding municipalities.

Along the same lines, the deputy mayor of Sant Jordi Desvalls says that "last year there were a dozen". This time, the Mossos received the first call warning of the illegal party at five in the morning on Friday. As detailed, the rave participants have maintained a peaceful attitude and have been located in an area of difficult access, so at no time was any eviction raised.
