The Puríssima de Sant Boi fair gives free rein to local talent

Sant Boi de Llobregat will celebrate, on December 6, 7 and 8, its traditional Purísima fair, one of the most emblematic fairs of Baix Llobregat, which reaches its 77th edition.

This year local talent will be given free rein. On the one hand, the space dedicated to music, where artists from Sant Boi usually perform, is moved and will take place in the gardens of the Ateneu Santboià. "The esplanade of the Can Barraquer museum has become too small for us. Last year people were left waiting without being able to enter. We have looked for a larger, more open space that is also within the fair route," he explained this Friday. the mayor, Lluïsa Moret, at a press conference.

On the other hand, the number of exhibitors in Sant Boi de Llobregat has grown this year. "Local exhibitors have doubled down," Moret said. According to the first mayor, there are more than 50 out of a total of about 500.

According to data from the City Council, the fair achieves 10 million euros of economic impact in just three days. And the exhibition usually exceeds 200,000 visitors, who find in Sant Boi a wide and varied commercial offer in various sectors. To give some examples, in Puríssima you can taste a craft beer, buy agricultural equipment or get an electric car on a 4.1 kilometer fair route.

"The exhibition space was quickly sold out," said Moret. There were no problems finding businesses and entities that wanted to expose themselves. "For Sant Boi these are three very important and very intense days," the mayor concluded.
