The PSPV abstains in the motion that requires the Government to authorize the expansion of the Port

The PSPV has abstained from voting on the PP motion urging the Government to authorize the tender for the expansion of the port of Valencia. Vox, government partner of the 'popular' in the Consell, has supported the initiative, while Compromís has rejected it.

The opposition groups presented two modification amendments to the PP proposal: the PSPV in favor of the expansion and Compromís again against. The 'popular' have ruled out incorporating their requests.

Specifically, the socialists urged that the institutions support the completion of the expansion works so that "it is a reality that contributes to economic and social development and the 2030 goal of zero emissions", in addition to the terminal having a supply space based on hydrogen to minimize CO2 emissions, give "full priority" to rail traffic and allow for the creation of quality jobs.

Instead, Compromís demanded that both Valenciaport and the government desist from the project and to dismantle the northern shelter, in addition to rejecting the expansion of roads associated with the expansion. He also proposed a scientific study on how to stop the degradation of the beaches of southern Valencia and open a dialogue between all the parties involved, including the residents of the area.

Outside the Port, in the plenary session this Thursday, PP and Vox have rejected the creation of an investigation commission in Les Corts on the "chaos" in the process of allocating teaching positions for the 2023-2024 academic year proposed by Compromís, who was blamed for this situation.

On the other hand, a Vox initiative has been approved to show the support of the regional chamber for the hunting sector, with the support of the PP and the 'no' of the opposition.
