The Princess of Girona Foundation awards the violinist María Dueñas

The violinist María Dueñas has been awarded this Thursday with the Princess of Girona Award for Arts and Letters in an act included in the Talent Tour that has stopped in Córdoba in the presence of Queen Letizia. The prize, like those of the remaining categories, will be delivered in Barcelona in an act that will take place in Barcelona with the assistance of the King and Queen, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia.

María Dueñas is a 20-year-old artist from Granada of whom the jury has highlighted her career with the violin at such an early age and her successful career in which she has already received international awards, being "an inspiring model for young people". The act, in which young people who have filled the theater have participated, has been attended by the Minister of Culture and Sports, Miquel Iceta; the Minister of Educational Development and Vocational Training of the Junta de Andalucía, Patricia del Pozo; the Minister of University, Research and Innovation, José Carlos Gómez Villamandos, and the mayor of Córdoba, José María Bellido, as well as the councilor for Podemos, Cristina Pedrajas, who has worn a dress in the colors of the republican flag

The Talent Tour stop in Córdoba is not limited to this Thursday's event, since it will be held until April 19 with presentations that want to promote the improvement of employability, the jobs of the future, the most demanded professional skills by companies, digital 'awareness' and education, but above all and in a transversal way it will propose a debate in different formats on the transformative power of culture and the arts.

Before attending the central act and the announcement of the prize awarded to María Dueñas, Queen Letizia has shown her support for the young people who have exposed their potential with different projects presented on the occasion of the Talent Tour.

After passing through Zaragoza, the first stage in which the King was present, and Valladolid, where Queen Letizia attended, the 2023 Talent Tour has ended up in Córdoba with the aim of "activating, connecting and promoting the talent of young people through through an intense schedule of activities in different formats, with up-to-date content offered by top-level professionals and companies”. The next stops on the FPdGi tour will take place in Lugo in May and Girona in June. The awards ceremony and the central act are scheduled for the month of July in a ceremony that will take place in Barcelona with the assistance of the King and Queen, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía.
