The precious pearls of Sant Llorenç del Munt

This Wednesday there was a lot of fog with a gentle drizzle that left drops like transparent pearls on the leaves in the natural environment of Sant Llorenç del Munt, as we see in La Vanguardia's Readers' Photos. And nowadays, with the drought, there is nothing more precious than water.

We can observe the detail of the water droplets on the leaves, but also suspended in the thin branches, about to detach and fade forever.

Sant Llorenç del Munt is a massif located between the regions of Vallès Occidental and Bages. Its main summits are the Montcau and the Mola, where the monastery of Sant Llorenç del Munt is located.

The Natural Park of Sant Llorenç del Munt i l'Obac is an extensive protected natural area. The landscape is of oak forest, white pine, oak and hazel and bare rock.

The space is perforated by more than 300 caves and peaks, the great secret that all hikers want to discover. Neolithic and medieval archaeological remains also abound: farmhouses, vineyard huts, ice wells and fountains.
